Real Confraria de São Teotónio volta a Cevide
para investidura de novos Confrades
No próximo dia 15 de Fevereiro, a Real Confraria de
São
Teotónio volta ao seu templo capitular para a já
anual
Investidura de novos Irmãos Confrades, celebrando o
aniversário da morte do primeiro santo português.
Recorde-se que foi em 2018 que a capela de Santo António, no Lugar de Cevide (Freguesia de Cristóval, Melgaço), que a terra que acolhe o marco Nº1 de Portugal somou mais um motivo para comemorar a sua unicidade, tendo sido escolhida pela Real Confraria de São Teotónio enquanto templo capitular da sua obra, que tem como inspiração o santo português que chegou a ser conselheiro de D. Afonso Henriques.
No próximo sábado, dia 15, o programa terá início pelas 10 horas com um cortejo desde o Castelo de Melgaço até aos Paços do Concelho, onde terá lugar a recepção oficial pelo Presidente da Câmara Municipal.
Durante a tarde terá lugar a Cerimónia de Investidura de novos Confrades na Capela de Santo António de Cevide, um acto que reúne em Melgaço, a exemplo do ano transacto, as Delegações da Ilha da Madeira, Suécia, Estónia, Ucrânia, Reino Unido, Grécia, Áustria, Itália e Finlândia.
No domingo os Confrades deslocar-se-ão em Peregrinação a Santiago de Compostela.

Rus-Ukraine, Ukrainian Orthodox Church - Kiev Patriarchate. And
representing the Metropolitan Epiphanius of the Orthodox Church of
Ukraine, we were greeted by Father Vitaly Dontshak, Secretary for
Public Relations.
