The Grand Prior’s Christmas Message

The year 2012 is fast drawing to an end. As we enter the Festive Season, we can take some timeout to reflect on the last twelve months at what we have achieved; at the same time, we can take this opportunity to ponder on the direction that we are heading: our aims, hopes and aspirations for the coming year.

Over the last year, many of our ilk have rendered outstanding, exemplary and special meritorious service in supporting and furthering the worldwide charitable initiatives, endeavours, activities, and projects of the Royal Confraternity of Saint Teotónio [RCST].

Our RCST is blessed [and undeniably privileged] to have among its number many Heads of Royal and Noble Houses, Princes, Spiritual Protectors, Ecclesiastics, Dignitaries, and indeed countless high-calibre Members whom - with drive, initiative and sincere intentions - have selflessly demonstrated a sustained and on-going commitment to the Principles and Aims of the RCST.

I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of you for your generosity, hard work, dedication, commitment, loyalty and friendship; chivalric precepts often talked of, but seldom practised these days.

I am confident and sincere in the belief that our creator is utilizing us as we assist those less fortunate among us and those whom we endeavour to help.

That we can render help to others in need is a truly magical experience; to be able to alleviate suffering when all hope seems lost; to be able to put a smile on a despondent child’s face - these are humbling experiences.

But let us not overlook that the essence of the Festive Season is not something that should be forgotten, discarded and lost at the dawn of the new year; the sprit of giving to, and helping those less fortunate should resonate throughout the whole year.

So to all RCST Officers, Members, Friends and Supporters, I wish you all:

It is with great sadness that we report that our beloved Knight Grand Cross of Justice Baron Rafael Amos, Vice President of the Vilage of Saue in Estonia, left this world to meet the Risen Lord on the 9 November 2012 in Tallinn.

The Pére Abbé Dom Phillippe Vanderheyden receives from the hands of Grand Prior the RCST Comemorative Medal, on the 3rd of June 2012, in the presence of Pére Simon Chaplain for Belgium, The General Prior for Benelux and the Commander of the RCST Commanderie des Frères oblats séculiers de Chevetogne.

 Le 02 juin 2012 se sont tenues à Schegen, les premières investitures du Prieuré Général du Benelux au Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
S.E. Manuel Duchesne, Prieur Général,  a demandé à un nouveau confrère de lui livrer ses impressions.

Investitures du 2 juin 2012

Les premières lueurs du matin filtrent dans la chambre par les interstices des volets que je m’empresse d’ouvrir pour profiter sans perdre un instant de cette nouvelle naissance. Cependant, aujourd’hui 2 juin, j’ai conscience que je dois m’apprêter à vivre des moments exceptionnels. Au coucher de l’astre qui distribue maintenant sa lumière généreuse, serai-je le même ?
A cette heure matinale, je m’interroge encore sur le sens de ma démarche car la Confraternité Royale de Saint Téotonio est encore bien mystérieuse pour moi. Cependant, sont but étant de défendre les valeurs chrétiennes et de vivre selon les hautes vertus chevaleresques, j’entends un appel qui m’incite à emprunter le chemin qui conduit à l’adoubement.

Cav. Anthony

It is with great sadness that we report that our beloved Anthony, The Marquis Buttigieg de Piro and Marquis de Piro, RCST Knight Grand Cross of Justice, after a long battle with a merciless terminal illness, left this world to meet the Risen Lord, at St James Capua Palace Hospital, in Sliema, Malta.
Our sincere and respectful condolences to Anthony's family and friends.

It is with much sadness that we report that our beloved RCST Confrade and Member of the Australian Delegation, Cav. Count Zbigniew “Alan” Helon, Count of the Polish Kingdom and Commonwealth of Poland-Lithuania, Prince of Zebulon passed away peacefully at the Toowoomba Base Hospital last 4th February 2012.

Celebration of the festivity of Saint Teotonio 15 February 2012 at Malonne by the Delegation of Wallonie, General Priory of Benelux.

It is with much sadness that we report the sudden death and peaceful passing of our fellow RCST Confrade and Member of the Spanish Priory, Cav. Manuel Lopez Tapias y Cabral RCST.

A dear and close friend to many within the RCST, Manuel passed away suddenly on Monday 16 January 2012.

Our sincere and respectful condolences to Manuel’s family and friends.
